I read The Age fairly regularly even though I live in California, because it's a good newspaper not owned by Rupert Murdoch that's based in a place that is far away from me. Most other big Australian newspapers are owned by Murdoch's News Corp, and aren't as satisfying. (The Age is owned by Australia's *other* big media conglomerate, Fairfax Holdings). After 5 years of reading Leunig cartoons in The Age I consider him to be one of the most talented assassins in the industry. You *really* don't want to be on the receiving end of his quiet savagery. Though you do have to know something about Australian politics to get the full effect sometimes. > Until now, I'd > never heard of "Leunig".
