Depends on how you hold the camera. I tend to be inconsistent when  
shooting verticals. Sometimes I rotate left. Sometimes right. I've  
had a darkened corner in lower left and lower right (when shooting  
verticals). Lots of variables. Lots of "less-than-perfect" in the  
realm of photography. Some may call it a flaw. Some may call it a  
signature. As always - the only real question worth asking remains,  
"is the image strong, compelling, beautiful and/or informative?"  
regardless of lens; version; film; digital or any other qualifier one  
may wish to lay on the table.

As do I. I love that extra stop on this focal length while  
maintaining the sharpness of the original 28 2.8.
