Complementary software. Programs like Aperture and Lightroom are the
light table, loop, darkroom, contact sheet production, enlarger that
let you edit, finesse, see what you have, produce slide shows,
prints, etc. Photoshop is still useful for heavy lifting, perspective
control, retouching, extremely fine tuning. etc.
