I just know that I can photograph the same scene with the 35 at 1.4 that I can with the 50 at 1.0. I still use the Noctilux a lot though because I like the shallow depth of field. With the M8 the 36 is closer to a 50 and the 50 is more like a 75 so I find that I'm using the 35 more often on the M8. Tina Tina Manley, ASMP, NPPA http://www.tinamanley.com
