Hi Alastair,
Whether I use the Leica 14 - 50 IS lens on the Oly 330E or on the  
Lumix L1 - it does not affect, as far as I can tell, the shutter lag  
of either camera which is, in any case, not very much and like most  
digital SLRs I have used (Canon D5 Nikon D200 most recently).
