[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]Gilbert, I think that there are several issues. It's important too, to say that this is certainly not unique to Alastair's posts. Firstly a number of different mail clients, and all with different settings, of course. Then line breaks in very long links (not in Alastair's case) Then link truncation when we don't use the<> Also whether the link is in a reply or the original message. In my instance, when replying, my IE7 changes the original links to plain text and I need to go and add a return after each to make it a link once more. Finally small errors in file names. An extra space is not readily apparent until you try to link. I'm reading Alastair's posts in Mail.app on a powerbook under OS X 10.4.8 and none of the URLs have been broken, even before the 'fixes'. I can see how they've been messed up in the quoted replies, but all three of these worked fine in the original, as they have ever since I've been back (from a two year hiatus, more on that to come).
