Well sure - however it's a different sort of magic.
The idea that we have these 10, 50, 100 or more year old artifacts  
which hold the impression of specific focused light reflected from  
subjects which no longer exist - well - you either feel it or you  
don't -
and yes I see your smiley  ;^)
