I have read a few comments though, with insights that were very helpful for me, though they might not be full blown critiques. I'm shooting ideas for the RED era this week. Even after 50 years of photography, I do not feel comfortable criting shots. I can tell people that I like or dislike their stuff, but I cannot make any valuable comments to help them improve their work. My experience is that in the several years I have been posting that maybe forty out of several hundred postings received legitimate critiques. I like a pat on the back as much as anyone, but I don't post for that. I post because it keeps me out there shooting. That is the benefit.
