The only Leica it supports is the Digilux 2. If you care here is a rough outline of how I work; keep in mind my RAW files are from Canon and Nikon bodies. 1) Insert the card into card reader this calls the Aperture import page. At this stage I create a new folder named the name of the job I am working on, enter any EXIF information I want applied to all files and then import them into Aperture. I have Aperture set so that the files are stored into a folder on my 2nd internal drive on my Mac, not in the Aperture library. 2) Once Import is done I go to the album with all images in it and put Aperture in full screen mode. I quickly tab through the images giving a 1 star rating to the ones I like. I then go back to all 1 star images and edit more tightly, 3) I adjust the final images tweaking levels, contrast, shadow highlight, color, saturation and all that jazz. 4) I export the images from Aperture depending on how I am delivering the images and what the end use is. Aperture applies all changes at this point only to the exported files, the originals are not touched. When I export I send to a subfolder in that job's folder called "Converted" or something like that. I then either ftp, e-mail or burn a CD and fed-ex the images to my client. Very Seldom do my images make it into Photoshop. I later take all images from the shoot and copy them to an external drive and burn DVDs also When I used Windoze my workflow was very much the same except I did my selections in first Bridge then converted using Adobe Camera Raw, then later I used Bibble after seeing how much better its conversions were. I would think a very similar workflow would work for DMR files but using a program that reads the files. Hope this helps. -- Harrison McClary Harrison McClary Photography harrison@mcclary.net http://www.mcclary.net ImageStockSouth - Stock Photography http://www.imagestocksouth.com Tobacco Road: Personal Blog: http://web.mac.com/whmcclary/iWeb/tobacco-road/Blog/Blog.html
