Several years ago, say about 2000, it was filled to the rafters with cameras and equipment for sale. The show took up an entire ballroom, plus the main hotel corridors, and three separate ante-rooms. Today, that same show was a grand total of about twenty five dealers. Several tables were empty. There was almost nothing I saw of any interest (save for a neat 1930s GE Iron, mint in box, and a fellow selling metal rear M-lens caps for twelve bucks. One table featured fishing reels (I'm not kidding). A few oldster photographers going table to table, flogging their M3/Summicron 50 setups, with scant interest (or little interest in paying what they thought the cameras were worth.) So, for those LUGgers who stayed home this AM photographing their breakfasts, a wise choice. However, hope y'all show up here on Nov 18th for the Leica Day lunch. I'll post another reminder closer to the date. Jim Shulman Bryn Mawr, PA PS. For those five of us still shooting film, there is a bargain to be had: www.jandcphoto.com is running a moving sale, with 25% off for orders over a hundred bucks. If you were thinking of getting Efke/Adox high silver b/w film, they have it in 25, 50 and 100 speeds in 35mm. No, I'm not on their payroll, but I did just lay in a supply, which is supposedly en-route.
