However, there are still some fantastic bargains in Leica slide projectors. When I acquired my Ms about five or ten years ago, I looked longing at Leica projectors for slide shows. Since the new ones were selling for a fortune, and the used ones didn't seem to appear often, I went with a Kodak Carousel. Last week I succumbed to the Leica projector bug, when a 153IR in perfect shape, with lens, trays, and all original packaging went for fifty three bucks. Just set up the first tray. Yes, there's a difference--a BIG difference. Back to my Velvia. Best regards, Jim Shulman Bryn Mawr, PA PS. And it was an apples-to-apples comparison (of sorts). The Kodak used a fixed focal length lens, as with the Leica. The Kodak's was a C-type, for plastic (not-glass mount) slides, accounting for the curved field.
