Well I'll defer to a user on that. I've largely used manual focus primes on 
almost all of my cameras. Those four thirds fellows just
seem to have high BMI's when seen on some of the more compact bodies.

But Hoppy, most of the lenses are, in fact, compact compared to standard SLR
lenses; they're not at all compact compared to Leica M lenses.
