Either one would do, since the focal length of a lens is just a  
classification.  The Nominal focal length is 35mm, though the actual  
specimen may be 32mm 
or 37mm.  
 
 I think the actual focal length of an individual lens also  changes when 
you 
focus close or to infinity.
