Imagine if they were bright enough to have an economical upgrade for present R8-9 owners and how many would jump at it quickly. I for one would ship mine right away to be first in line.... "But the price would have to be right!" :-) And not a 6 month re-fit and return policy. But given it's highly unlikely, I wouldn't adventure into holding my breathe for three minutes that it would happen! By the same token it might not be possible to gut the film innards and re-place with the new digi parts. But it's not a bad idea for a good price, besides they'd have a greater number of digital R's on the street faster than they would selling a completely brand new camera. Of course this could make it look like the Leica R8-9-10 were the "in digi-camera of the day" motivating far more sales. Maybe? ted
