Decent build quality. Battery charge lasts for ever. Good RAW file size. I've zero problems with the camera in nearly 2 years (may be going on 3 already). The only negative = the ground glass size and dimness. One can get used to it. But it is truly a pia when switching back and forth between the R8 and 20D. No time to let your eye/mind adjust to the lack of light. Due to this one negative and depending on which lenses you intend to use on the body - I would recommend that you rent one for a weekend and borrow the lens(s) you'd like to own/use - to determine if this LeiCanon thing is the way you want to go. For example: the f:1.4 lenses - no problem with manual focus on the 20D. the f:2 lenses not really an issue. F:2.8 macro when you want to stop down a little for dof - can be seriously difficult - as with the 2x extender losing 2 stops of light - and the 6.8 with 2x extender - you better have some serious sunlight to work with. It all gets significantly better with the 5D although nowhere near the bright clarity of the R8 - which is why I long for a DMR which I can ill afford.
