However I know that it is not close enough for you because if the pheasant would turn right or dip it's head - you'd have to move the camera "to focus" rather than to "frame and compose." Which is why I primarily use manual focus Leica glass on the Leicanons. The summary of this discussion really comes down to: If using AF one has to choose a single focus point.
