Joseph,

I have a Super-Multi-Coated Takumar 1:1.4/50 Serial Number 5720518 which 
focuses down to 0.45 meters.  The rear element appears to be convex.  While 
this is not a true macro lens, could it be an earlier attempt at a close 
focusing lens?  What can you tell me about this lens.
