I have a 0.85 M7 in the 28517XX range that definitely has the old
viewfinder.

The 0.85 viewfinder is definitely worse than the 0.72 in the brightness
and flare regards.  Mine flares profusely.  I will get the MP upgrade
sometime this year.

Getting a whole new viewfinder is prohibitively expensive.
