Usability with all M series cameras implies that new Leica lenses will cover the entire 35 mm frame. Since we know that the new Digital M will have a reduced size frame does this mean that a full frame digital Leica is in the works? Conversely, if no full frame camera is planned, Leica digital lenses will be more costly and bigger than their rivals from camera companies with more frame size modest aspirations. Or is Leica simply saying that they do not intend to introduce any new lenses beyond those designed for film cameras at the present time and that the six bit coding is the only modification that will be made for the digital line. And what of Leicas membership in the 4/3 consortium? Is a 4/3 camera in the works? As usual, Leica press releases raise more questions than they answer. Larry Z
