All of this digital stuff is so new. I think I could study Photoshop for years and never learn everything it can do. Here is a trick I just learned to remove chroma noise or color aliasing - those annoying fringes of green or red at the edges of images: 1. Go Filter>Blur>Gaussian Bluer, select a large radius (6 pixels or more) and blur the image so that you can no longer see the noise. The whole image will be completely blurred, but don't worry about that. 2. Now go Edit>Fade Gaussian Blur and select Mode>Color from the drop-down menu and click OK. This returns you to the unblurred state and should remove all of the unwanted color. Everybody may already know that, but, to me, it's a miracle!! I love all of these hints, whether it's a new way to scan film or a new way to process digital. It's fun! Tina Tina Manley, ASMP, NPPA http://www.tinamanley.com
