The E-330 may possibly be able to get away with a small dim VF because it has a live View CCD, but the -L1 does not have a secondary CCD for liveview purpose so the liveview cannot be used with autofocus in any meaningful way (additional shutter lag etc.). I suppose Panasonic can always add that in as -L1-MkII or may be that will be Leica DigiLux3's contribution. In any case, definitely a bad decision on someone's part. At 09:54 AM 6/21/2006, B. D.
