I don't mind the Tri X grain but am switching (well, at least I bought a 25 
pack...) to Neopan 400 because it's $.60 cheaper per roll. So far I think 
the grain is same fineness to Tri X but do look slightly different. 
Actually, I think Tri X grain is a myth in the sense that "Tri X has 
grains!" All films have grains :-)

Anyhow, both Tri X and Neopan 400 work well for me. I don't use HC110 
though, but Xtol.
