Larry, thanks for the just too cool description of of how the eye/seeing 
works
After 20+ years of teaching kids to draw from observation, I know one of the 
hardest parts of it is getting them to step back from the apparently 
seamless visual experience that they don't question, and examine the raw 
data before the 'software' smooths everything out. 'Draw what you see, not 
what you think' is the mantra, but its harder than it sounds.
