Subject: [Leica] Question: Depth of field for a Noct. on a digital M

BD.. it might be best to talk about cropping factor..... it is more easily
digested....and understood, since the same sort of questions come up often.

On a digital M, the Noctilust will be apx a 75 mm lens. But as
Jeffery, said, it will have the same depth of field it has on the M - where
it is a 50. So it will be a "75" with the dept of field of a 50. So, No, the
depth of field will not be greater than it will be on the M, but it will be
greater than you'd expect for a 75 f 1. Of course since the depth of field
of the Noctilux wide open is about the same as the diameter of a gnat's
pubic hair, the discussion is moot. :-)
