The ini files are not "portable" between releases :-( Vuescan user experience is not the best in that sense. Really though, the keys are Input: 16 bits gray Quality: Edit or Archive (2000 dpi vs 4000) NO, ABSOLUTELY NOT infrared clean. Occasionally I turn on slight grain reduction but it doesn't make much difference Color-> White Balance Film: generic color negative (!) Leave B&W points as is.
