Subject: [Leica] Cape Cod in Winter

These are from a trip to the Cape Cod National Seashore last Sunday.
Day was brightly sunny but 20 F with 20 knots of breeze. I damn near
froze to death every time I got out of the car. Nice day for
photography though.

They were all taken with a 15mm Heliar on my M3 and, remembering
Ted's dictum to get low as much as possible with this lens, deep knee
bends were the order of the day. Only a few other people were out so
making the shots people-free was relatively easy. I wanted to get a
barren, isolated look. No way to do that in season.

Marconi Station (Wellfleet) - Guglielmo Marconi's transmitting
station is nothing but rubble now, erosion of the beach dunes did it
in, but there is a nice memorial to the first transatlantic radio
transmissions right at the edge of the dunes.

Further out on the Cape, near Provincetown and Race Point, is Herring
Cove Beach.

This one works well in color, too, I think.

I shot 5 rolls on this trip, so more to come as I find the time to
get them ready for posting. I think my hit rate with the 15mm lens
is starting to go up.

Comments welcome as always. Thanks.
