I'm assuming you're photographing people as in the documentary style therefore these 2 lenses allow you to work close when you have the quick & kill moment. The 90 allows for the quiet intimate moment of a slightly longer reach. The chances are the 50 will stay in your pocket 99.99999999999999% of the time, unless you're a regular 50mm kind of shooter. And if that is the case I'd only take the 50 and that would be it. It also changes your seeing because you are far more astute at subject searching & re-action with only the 50. One lens means greater time of concentrating on subjects fitting into this format. Decisions of which lens to use create in-decision just long enough to miss the "peak moment!" Words of experience while shooting documentaries. Oh and for those selecting the "sharper is better crowd" it isn't going to make the content any better, remember every picture taken with a Leica doesn't mean it's a great photo. Unfortunately there are still a few in the world who still believe... "use a Leica and your pictures will be the best there are. And the next stupid reason... "because they're so sharp!";-) Just ain't so. ;-) The guy or gal holding it with a sharp set of eyes and swift re-action is what makes the difference! ted
