It appears that Lightroom is the product of, perhaps, a single person
or a VERY small team.

Written almost entirely over the Apple Cocoa library which is the
primary software development library.

Very neat. It's clear that it came to beta very fast.

There's also an extension scripting addition that's quite nifty - open
source - called Lua.
