Subject: [Leica] Leica Books....which to buy?

Rev., I have found the following to be very helpful in seeing a picture of
each Leica model plus all its features:

1. "Identifying Leica Lenses," by Ghester Sartorius (paperback)
2. "Identifying Leica Cameras," by Ghester Sartorius (paperback)

If you are interested in Leica copies, the two best reference works are
these:

1. "Leica Copies," by HPR, hardcover.
2. "300 Leica Copies," by Pont/Princelle, hardcover.

If you want pocket guides, these are great:

1. Leica Pocket Book, by Hove Collectors Books, cameras and lenses, hard
cover, with serial numbers.

2. Leica Accessory Guide, Hove Collectors Books, accessories, with code
names and code numbers.
'
If you really want to splurge:

Leica, An Illustrated History, by James L. Lager, three volumes: Vol. 1,
cameras; Vol. 2, lenses; Vol. 3, accessories...

I have these and others and will be glad to help you, suggest others, or
help you with the names of places where you can get them...regards, bob cole
