Subject: [Leica] Central Park on a Lark

With apologies to Charles Ives for mangling the name of one of his
works for the subject line.

I decided I hadn't had enough of the big city as I headed home from
New Jersey after Thanksgiving, so I headed for Lincoln Center rather
than home after I crossed the George Washington Bridge. After a cup
of coffee and finished with the Times, I headed for Central Park and
points beyond for a walk and some photography. Here are three of the
pictures from that walk. All were taken with an M7 and a 28mm
Elmarit on BW400CN.

Central Park. This gigantic "rock" is actually a piece of the ledge
that makes all those tall buildings in Manhattan possible. Only a
bit of perspective correction, levels and cropping done.

Lincoln Center. Again just some perspective correction, levels and
cropping done. The Shadow/Highlight command that I used to pull the
blacks up a bit also brought up some grain, unfortunately, but I
still like the result.

Shooting and chimping. One quick shutter click and everyone moved
into really un-photogenic positions. No second chance.
