That way I can say to myself or to someone paying me real money: I'm shooting this picture of this shoe with the "best image producing lens in the history of the modern universe." And not wonder if I made a 30x40in print what it would look like if shot with a better than what I'm using lens. Because in my experience with much larger print making that kind of thing invariably crosses my mind. As I check the picket fence on the horizon with my loupe. Even stand back.
