Nathan,

Speaking as someone whose experience of Canadian wine when growing up was
dismal (with products such as Brights Manor St. David Canadian Sauternes or
Baby Duck being more suitable as paint thinners than beverages), the
revolution in the wine industry in the past couple of decades has been
nothing less than astounding. The reds tend to be adequate, but really can't
compete with other New World areas such as Chile, Australia or California.
The whites, whether sweet or otherwise, can be sensational. I'm a wine
enthusiast, and when friends are visiting from other countries, it is a
pleasure to now be able to serve the local stuff without making apologies
and referring to the climate Nice to see that you've had the opportunity to
try some, and if you get the chance, seek out some of the Canadian drier
whites.

Mark
