CS2 is fine for the quick stuff but when you find an image you really want to work on, starting with the Canon's Digital Photo Professional software will give a better image to start with in Photoshop. If you are upgrading just to get the Canon RAW support you could probably save some money with using the Canon software and your existing photoshop. I upgraded to CS2 from PS7 and found CS2 needed quite a bit more processing horsepower compared to Photoshop 7. In addition, for the DMR files, the FlexColor software seems to do a much better job. The same can be said about the Canon software doing a better job on my 1D MkII files compared to the Adobe CS2. In the Canon RAWs there still seems to be some proprietary information that only Canon programs can use, such as the custom white balances and tone curves the images were shot with. Here is a link to the Canon software: http://robgalbraith.com/bins/content_page.asp?cid=7-7887-8038 Regards, Robert At 05:50 PM 10/6/2005, feli wrote: >First thing I need to do is upgrade to CS2. > >feli -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
