Bonsoir,

  Walz did make some accessories, filters and shades in 40mm size. You can 
see them on the auction site every so often.  I own a 50 mm 1.8 Canon lens 
and to solve the problem once and for all I went in a telescope store.  I 
had them custom make a 40 to 46 mm adapter.  Cost me 40 Canadian dollars.  
No more problem.
