Hi Rick,

Apologise to your wife (brother, child, etc.) for imposing the 
responsibility for carrying your camera equipment and go take some pictures.

My Leica disaster a couple of years back involved number 2 daughter dropping 
a Leica M.

I still have the camera (had it repaired) and more importantly I still have 
my relationship intact with the child.
