Thanks, Mark, for suggesting the Industar 22 or 50..
 
.I love the Elmar but I'm not having much luck on getting one [other than  
one I managed to find that's not coated.] By a stroke of luck, however, I 
found  
a Kenko screw-in UV filter for the Elmar that should help a lot.
 
Someone may still come forward with an Elmar --or, maybe, an  
Industar...thanks again, bob cole
