I've found it necessary to use filtered water in the final Photo-flo rinse. I mix my photo-flo 1:250. And I use it by unspooling the film, holding the two ends in my hands, and see-sawing the film through the photo-flo solution (emulsion side up) 2 or 3 times, squeegeeing it with two of my fingers, and then hanging it up to dry. Been doing this in our neighborhood for 25 years and never had a problem. (I filter water just for sediment; I don't use activated charcoal. I bought a drinking-water filter at Home Depot and it works just fine). Brian Reid
