Limited parts supply, > e-mail for availability doug at wildlightphoto dot com > > Doug Herr > Birdman of Sacramento > http://www.wildlightphoto.com > Doug I at fist mis read your post and thought I was reading something to the tune of "you've seen my prints in different for sale now you can print one for your own?" And I was thinking "what does one charge for a big file of one of your images for the purpose of fine printing instead of firing over to them a hard copy of the result of ones own art of print making". If you catch my drift. Part of this may be I just got the Photoshop 9 CS2 last night and I'm blown away but the whole thing one of the things being the browser now has an automatic stock photo thing in it so if you don't see a nice tree that you took yourself you can just use one that someone else in the whole wide world took. It's another Marshall Mcluhan thing all over again for sure!! It's like why learn to play and maintain a Cello when you can just go out and by a Yo Yo Ma CD solo Bach lute suites or whatever? I don't see this happening on the fine art scale. Probably for obvious reasons. You don't know how they're going to butcher your image and then put your name on it. But I think this is going to change some how.. I guess what I'm doing is doing an overlap between schlock stock and the cream of the crop fine art imagery. Will they end up in come cases be handled the same? How's the weather down there in Sacramento I'm thinking about moving down there?! Mark Rabiner Photography Portland Oregon http://rabinergroup.com/
