To each his own. Doug First there are damn few of us who have to haul horses around. My wife grew up doing so and was rather shocked at your statements: she simply said, "he never rode with me, did he?" What you are revealing is that you are an incapable driver, and you have the brass to brag about it. Back off. Learn to drive, learn to shift, and then let us speak of this. If you want "smooth shifts", come and visit me, and I will teach you performance driving. And, then, there is that 10% kick in fuel economy by driving a stick. I love that every time I gas up. Those who drive automtics are the sort of folks who should be denied a driver's license. They are suckers and saps. There are no cheap victories. If you want to drive, learn to do so, and drive with a manual transmission and drive with intelligence, vigor, and knowledge of the capacity of your car. With an automatic, it all is so boring that you fall asleep and run off the road ... Marc msmall@aya.yale.edu Cha robh b?s fir gun ghr?s fir! NEW FAX NUMBER: +540-343-8505
