I do not have a very comprehensive collection of Leitz catalogues, but here
are some representative US prices:

1933:

Leica Model D with one film cassette and 3.5/5cm Elmar  $         92.50
(this is approximately $1253.03 in 2005 $)


1939:

Leica IIIb with  one film cassette and 3.5/5cm Elmar                    
171.00
(this is approximately $2243.66 in 2005 $)


1954:

Leica IIIf with 3.5/50mm Elmar                                          
237.00
(this is approximately $1636.43 in 2005 $)


Leica M3 with 3.5/50mm Elmar                                    348.00
(this is approximately $2402.86 in 2005 $)
