[Author Prev] [Author Next] [Thread Prev] [Thread Next] [Author Index] [Topic Index] [Home] [Search]i'd like to second mr colen's recommendation about the pelikan. i especially like the pelikan demonstrator because, as well as writing very nicely indeed, it is: #1 transparent, so you can see how much ink you've got and #2, carries a large internal reservoir instead of those tiny cartridges or "converters" and holds 2-3 times as much ink. it's also reasonably priced. here's a site with nice photos of the Pelikan Demonstrator in its various colors; my favorite is amber: http://www.nibs.com/PelikanDemonstrators.htm as for Rotring, i happened to find the best mechanical pencil i've ever owned, the rotring 600 .7mm in "lava" finish--absolutely gorgeous. plus, its the only one i've seen where the entire lead-holding tip retracts into the body with a push of the button, ball-point style. http://www.executiveessentials.com/detail_image.php/id/4649/ImageName/ OT, the lava finish is like the finish of the visoflex II or III. don't bother with mundane silver or black when you have such a pleasing finish (to the eye and to the touch).
