Number 1: Don't point out anything negative... IE: >>> I am sure someone will dislike the color balance, <<< Why? Well you draw attention to it when maybe no one thought about it. Besides what is the colour balance inside a shop like this? It could be exactly how you've recorded it. By you bringing it to the attention of viewers, probably someone would re-act negatively! And in this case a wasted point because who can tell what is exactly proper light balance under these conditions? I like the hand - eye action of the clerk and most certainly the capture of your wife's eyes above her glasses! Right on the mark action in both cases. Nit picking comment. And probably because this is, I believe, your first uses of the 28mm lens? This lens, like all wides, the photographer must make an obvious effort to make sure the camera is held correctly, vertically and horizontally as possible to avoid tilting, therefore bad wide lens distortion in a room like this. I use the vertical edges of the viewfinder against anything I can line up on in the picture itself. It's merely a learning curve in the event you haven't worked too much with wide angle lenses. However, it's extremely important to do so. That is unless you deliberately want distortion and if you do? Then crank that camera way up and make the distortion as wild as possible. Then it adds to the picture and not a distraction by being slightly off indicating sloppy camera handling. Other than the slight handling mis-cue I like the photograph just as it is! Well done with a new picture machine. ;-) ted
