The ring in this photo works very well given the context:

I enjoy all the shots, though the shot of the hostess
seems weak in comparison with the others.  I would
have preferred the dark tones a tad lighter on the shots
of the bride-to-be, but of course that is a personal choice.

At first I thought you were getting married and was
about to congratulate you.   :-)
