[coming out of lurking mode] Do compare both by all means, especially the viewfinders. The Rebels both have pentamirrors, while the Pentaxes, besides providing a bigger image, are real pentaprisms. The viewfinder is one of the bigger selling points of the Pentax DSLRs.
