I have had only one really large and annoying complaint about the d100 and I still don't understand Nikon's motives: To get newer firmware for the d100 the owner must ship it to Nikon. I don't know if you are aware, but Nikon isn't exactly a J.D. Power & Assc. candidate for best customer support so the thought of sending it is... well, its not a thought. This is the only dslr that requires such action for updating firmware and it makes no sense... at all! I mean, it has a USB cable... I have Internet access... every other Nikon is downloadable-firmware capable - so, um... why? To be completely fair to Nikon, Canon ain't no shining example of customer communication either.
