The LUG is like a public house. The publican (that's me) can't control what 
people do, but can exert a certain amount of influence on who feels 
comfortable in the place and who does not. Over time, the mix of people 
changes, and over a longer period of time, the tone changes. If you don't 
like the atmosphere in a pub, your best bet is either to find another pub, 
open your own, or turn your back on the people whose behavior offends you, 
and pretend they're not there.
