If Leica ends up going with a chip that is less than full frame in
their digital M, I hope they end up making
a series of matching 'DX' type lenses. Looks like Sigma has finally
figured out that not everyone wants to shoot with
some slow wunder-zoom...

Pre-PMA 2005: The last of three DC (digital SLR only) lenses announced
by Sigma today is the 30 mm F1.4 EX DC HSM, a lens which sounds
extremely interesting on paper and will offer photographers an almost
'normal' 45 mm equiv. (on a 1.5x FOV crop digital SLR) with a
super-fast F1.4 maximum aperture (great low-light focusing, lots of
depth-of-field control). This lens also features Sigma's HSM
(HyperSonic Motor) and will be available with Canon, Sigma and Nikon
lens mounts.
