Fifty percent crop factor would give you something in the neighborhood of 105-110 effective focal length. I wonder if anyone has mounted a 75 Summilux on the RD-1? Howard, Dr. Yao, Frank, anyone have both the RD-1 and the 75 Summilux? Want to chase attractive faces to see how this combination works? -----Original Message----- From: lug-bounces+dorysrus=mindspring.com@leica-users.org [mailto:lug-bounces+dorysrus=mindspring.com@leica-users.org] On Behalf Of Seth Rosner Sent: Sunday, February 06, 2005 9:47 AM To: Leica Users Group Subject: Re: [Leica] 75 'cron Don, I'm forwarding your post to Stefan Daniel at Solms; it seems to me that input like yours should be invaluable to the planners at Leica. Only one disagreement with you: I do not believe that a 105/F1,4 is possible for two reasons, one because I think that even if it is technologically achievable it would be ferociously expensive and monstrously heavy and bulky and two, perhaps more important, I do not think it would work on an M-camera, the bulk of such a lens would block the viewfinder.
