That is really funny.  In 1967, I bought a new M3 with 50mm Summicron 
for DM 960 the exchange rate at the time was 4:1.  Three Leitz filters 
were an additional 55DM.   I cannot find the receipt for the 39mm 
swing-out polarizer.  Actually, I just found a price list for the German 
market dated 1 Januar 1968.... The M4 without a lens was listed a 
855DM... with the ridgid Summilux at 1283DM ... and here is the 50mm 
Nocti 1.2  at 1815DM.  Just found the receipt for the 3 element 90mm 
Elmar f4... 189DM.

Who would have thougtht....
