Subject: [Leica] OT: What went wrong? (B&W developing resultingintransparent negatives)

While the problem is probably well determined, the fix has not been entirely
agreed upon.......

MARK THE CONTAINERS OF DILUTED LIQUID WITH CLEAR MARKING OF CONTENTS!! That
is the solution. Then you will not make a mistake (as easily). Keep
containers with (semi) permanent markings. You can use glass bottles, soda
bottles, plastic bottles, whatever you want to use ( glass is best), but
MARK THEM BEFORE YOU PUT THE FIRST CHEMICALS IN THEM.

Ted suggested putting the developer in before putting film on the reel. I
think that is a disaster waiting to happen. Ever wonder what happens when
you knock over the Tank? You have not lived until you hurry through that
mistake.

Do Everything except putting the film on the reel in the light. Less chance
for mistakes, and whatever did you buy the daylight tank for if not to work
in the daylight?
